Outstanding sonic performance
Wharfedale Pro are renowned for creating high-quality loudspeakers and subwoofers. You’ll find their cabinets used for sound reinforcement all over the world. And the Delta X series is no exception. Boasting high-performance transducers and premium components, these passive systems deliver a rich, full sound with phenomenal clarity.
The Delta X218B is the perfect solution for high-performance low-end reinforcement. For one, it’s capable of producing a huge maximum SPL of 138dB. For comparison, the deafening whine of an air raid siren is 130dB. So, it’s safe to say that this sub packs a hefty punch. And it’s all down to a powerful dual chamber design with Wharfedale Pro’s custom transducers.
With two custom 18” woofers boasting huge 4” voice coils, the Delta X218B can handle an astronomical amount of power. Peaks of 6400W to be precise. Combined with an efficient design, you can enjoy rich, defined sound across the sub’s entire frequency range with incredible impact.
Powerful flexibility
Choose between Bi-Amp and Passive modes. These two modes give you flexible options when it comes to operating your Delta X PA system. In Passive mode, you can make use of a single amp channel to drive your sub and use the MID/HIGH OUTPUT to send everything above your subwoofer’s internal crossover point to your tops. The newly designed Delta X crossover will handle frequency separation, ensuring your signal and power is split efficiently between your PA components.
In Bi-Amp mode, you can use two channels of your power amp to drive your sub and top, whilst using an external crossover to handle frequency separation. This gives you even more control over the frequency range of your components, allowing you to set the crossover point that you’d prefer to use.
Built to last
Every Delta X loudspeaker and subwoofer has been built to withstand the demanding nature of performance and event environments. With a 18mm Russian Birch plywood cabinet, the Delta X18B has been crafted for maximum durability. The wood used for the cabinet is even more dense than MDF, and results in a cabinet with extreme strength and extra tolerance in damp conditions. Plus, with its ability to hold screws significantly better than more traditional cabinet materials, you can be sure that your speaker is much more capable of dealing with tough and extreme environments.
But that’s not all. The Delta X series boast a new internal crossover design. Securely tied-down components and enhanced premium glues, as well as new positioning and bracing means that the sensitive components of the crossover perform better for longer. The long-term performance and reliability of these new crossover designs is even suitable for ultra-high-volume levels.
And lastly, the Delta X series boasts an incredibly durable Rhino Rock paint finish. This paint features a chip-resistant texture with a professional and discreet look. So, your system can remain protected throughout its life on the road.
