Turbosound IQ15: Unmatched Control and Connectivity

One of the standout features of the Turbosound IQ15 is the Spatial Contour Control (SCC) DSP function, which optimizes frequency response based on speaker placement. This function compensates for positioning on a stand, floor, wall, or ceiling, much like studio reference monitors.

The rear panel of the IQ15 hosts a user-friendly interface with an LCD display, channel gain controls, and a rotary encoder for easy access to level, EQ, speaker modeling, SCC, subwoofer integration, and feedback control. The system also includes combination balanced XLR/jack inputs, balanced XLR outputs, a mix-out XLR connector, mic/line switch, and level control with signal present LED on each channel.

The proprietary ULTRANET technology allows for the use of CAT5 cables to transmit pristine multi-channel audio signals and other information between ULTRANET-enabled products, significantly reducing setup time and eliminating interference. An onboard USB port facilitates remote control of the IQ15 via a PC and allows for DSP and speaker modeling firmware updates.

The Turbosound IQ15’s lightweight fiberglass reinforced composite enclosure is equipped with a rugged powder-coated perforated steel mesh grille and multiple internal rigging points for permanent installations. It also features a dual-angle pole mount socket, allowing the enclosure to be pole-mounted straight or angled downwards for optimal audience coverage. The mains power input and link output are provided via Neutrik powerCON connectors.
